Yesterday, we headed over to Disney's Hollywood Studios which was, for the most part, much more relaxed than the day before, but it certainly didn't start out that way.
Cornelius only brought two pairs of shoes along for the entire week, which would have been fine had they not been a pair of dress shoes and a pair of flip-flops. So, right away in the morning, the two of us headed over to Downtown Disney to look for a pair of tennis shoes while the rest of my family headed over to the park.
As it turns out, Disney doesn't do dabble much in the shoe selling business, and we only saw tell tennis shoes in one store: Team Mickey. There was only one style, and only two sizes, and luckily they came in his exact size and he even liked the way they looked!
After that little extra trip, it was finally time to head over to the park. We met my family at the front gate and had lunch at Starring Roles, right over by the Brown Derby, then just kind of wandered around the park, going to the occasional show and ride.
I'm fairly certain my entire group will agree that American Idol was probably the best show - especially since Fantasmic, the outdoor fireworks and laser show, was rained out for the evening. But, the building was really cool, and the singers were really fun to watch, too. My younger brother might even try out for it!
As far as rides go, I think we're agreed there, too. The Rockin' Roller Coaster is definitely a favorite, especially when Cornelius and I found the singles line. The singles line is basically people that are volunteering to be the filler for other parties - so if there's a group of three, a single gets put with them.
I was lucky enough to sit with a nice group from Owatana, which is in my home state, who are here for a cheer competition. They were incredibly nice, and fun to talk to.
Our other favorite was a newer attraction called Toy Story Midway Mania. It's basically the Woody Themed version of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin in the manner that it's a moving shooting game.
All in all, it was another great day, and we all slept quite well once we got home to our cozy cabin.
